Summary of Junior Branch Competition

Generally 12 years and younger.  Your team will be 3-5 unisex players (3 playing each week).  You will play two sets of doubles each (best of 10 games, players pair up as 1/2, 1/3, 2/3) from 8am to 10am.

INTERMEDIATE (A and B Grades):
The 2 hour unisex event is 8am-10am for lower grades OR 10am-midday for higher grades.  A squad (usually) of 3 players in a team.   Two person team playing each week.  Players will be graded by unisex playing standard from “A2” downwards through B Grades.  You’ll play against similar standard players who might be boys or girls.  All sets are full tiebreak sets, short deuce, and you’ll each play two doubles sets, a singles set, and be an umpire or a ball kid. (so you’re involved the whole time).

ADVANCED (A1 format—modified):
Each team has Unisex grading of seeds 1 to 4 and girl (only) seeds 5 and 6.  Some 2, 3, and/or 4 seeds are expected to be girls.  Four in the team each week playing over 2 courts, and they play a Pro Set (first to 8 games) doubles against players of similar playing standard, then a 3 set singles (third set is a supertiebreak).  All matches long deuce.  No reverse/mixed singles.
